TERMS AND CONDITIONS

How to book

Simply telephone Nova Tours office with your holiday request and you will be given availability. To confirm your booking  please send £35 per person per tour deposit with insurance premium if required to our office within 7 days.
PLEASE PAY BY CHEQUE, all cheques made payable to NOVA TOURS or DAVID SHERIFF, who is the sole proprietor. Your balance is due SIX WEEKS before departure for all UK tours. For the tours to jersey, Ireland, isle of man and Ostende  your balance is due EIGHT WEEKS before departure.
LUGGAGE LABELS WILL BE ATTACHED TO YOUR BALANCE RECEIPT

PLEASE NOTE – WE DO NOT NOTIFY YOU WHEN TO PAY THE BALANCE
ON YOUR DEPARTURE DAY OUR OFFICE PHONE IS STAFFED

V.A.T is included in the cost of your holiday. However if the rate of V.A.T alters from 17.5% your balance will be amended accordingly. We ask you to check your receipt carefully as soon as you receive it , if you are unsure of any aspect please contact our office.

IF YOU WISH TO ALTER YOUR BOOKING – This can only be done at deposit stage
If you wish to change your booking  to another departure date we shall do our utmost to make the changes, provided written notification is received from the person who signed the booking form, not later than the date on which the balance of the original holiday cost was due for payment. This must be accompanied by a payment of £10 to cover administration costs. Any alteration made later than the original balance due date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation charges set out on the back page of the brochure.

IF WE CANCEL YOUR TOUR
it is necessary for a minimum number of passengers  to be carried on a tour for it to operate. Therefore we would offer you an alternative tour or give you a full refund if we cancel the tour.

FINANCIAL SECURITY
Your money is held in a NOVA TOURS trust account and to comply with the EC Directive your money is not made available to NOVA TOURS until the completion of your holiday. In the unlikely event that NOVA TOURS ceases trading your money is safe.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is valid with at least 6 months validity and any other ID/Paperwork  that you may require for your holiday is in your possession.

CUSTOMER CARE
We aim to provide you with the best possible holiday but in the unlikely event that a problem should arise you must bring this to the attention of your driver or hotel manager, then the matter can be resolved whilst  you are on holiday. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU RETURN HOME.

SPECIAL DIETS
If you have a special dietary need please inform the office at the time of booking.

DISABLED PASSENGERS
In order that our staff can check the suitability of your chosen holiday it is vitally important that the office is given full details upon booking of any disability or special requirements, unless we know about your requests we regret that we have no responsibility for any inconvenience caused.
WE CARRY FOLDING WHEELCHAIRS BUT NOT MOTORISED SCOOTERS AND NOT BATTERY POWERED WHEELCHAIRS. OUR OFFICE  MUST BO NOTIFIED IF YOU INTEND TO TAKE A WHEELCHAIR.

LUXURY COACH TRAVEL
All our coaches are 49 seaters with reclining seats, fitted with seat belts, which MUST be worn, air conditioning, toilet and wash room facilities and a drinks machine. If circumstances are beyond our control we reserve the right to use a coach without these facilities.

SEATING ALLOCATION
Requests for particular seats can be made on all tours when booking  but it is on a first come first served basis. Early booking is advisable. When bookings are made you will be offered the best seat available for you on the coach at the time. WE DO NOT MOVE SEATS ONCE ALLOCATED.

PLEASE NOTE - GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift Vouchers are redeemed  on balances of holidays only – NOT on deposits for holidays booked.

NO SMOKING
All our coaches are non smoking frequent stops are planned on all of our tour itineries.
YOU MAY NOT BRING ANY PETS OR PLAY YOUR OWN RADIO CASSETTE OR CD PLAYER ON THE COACH.

IMPORTANT
Do not leave items unattended on the coach. NOVA TOURS are not responsible for any items left on the racks or seats.

UPGRADE VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
We ask you to limit your luggage to one medium sized suitcase per person, weighing a maximum of 20KG. This is so we can handle your suitcases without problems such as porterage, taxi boot space and total weight on the coach.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS
On most tours when there is a free day we offer a range of optional extra excursions. These are not included in the price and can only be paid for directly with your driver at the resort. These excursions  are subject to a minimum numbers booking to make their operation viable.

DEPARTURE TIMES
It is your responsibility to be at the correct time and correct departure point. We accept no responsibility for latecomers missing their transport. No compensation is given in the event of a breakdown.

PLEASE NOTE – ANY CHANGES MADE TO THE HOTEL OR ITINERARY CANNOT SOMETIMES BE AVOIDED. ALL PRICES AND DESCRIPTIONS ARE CORRECT AS TAKEN FROM THE 2008 BROCHURE (PUBLISHED JUNE 2007).

A FREE TAXI PICK UP SERVICE COLLECTS YOU FROM YOUR HOME (SUBJECT TO AREA) TO JOIN THE COACH AT ONE OF YOUR PICK UP POINTS WHICH ARE:
CHESTERFIELD - CLAY CROSS – ALFRETON – RIPLEY – EASTWOOD – ILKESTON
A TAXI IS ALSO PROVIDED ON YOUR RETURN HOME
WE DO NOT USE FEEDER COACHES
